MLK Storytime & Craft
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, children and caregivers are encouraged to listen to stories that celebrate the legacy of Dr. King and make peace crafts. While supplies last.

Empower: It's Leadership Time
Compare Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.'s leadership style to other leaders of the civil rights movement. This program is part of a series that supports teens in celebrating themselves. For ages 11 - 17.

Enjoy a cultural celebration of the life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Guest speakers will engage in a panel discussion and Q&A. Refreshments will be provided.

Selma: A Movie Event
The 2014 film Selma shows the civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, AL and features the actions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Stay after to discuss the film and the life of Dr. King.

Celebrate Dr. King with a program featuring Ausettua AmorAmenkum, director of Kumbuka Collective/adjunct professor at Tulane University; Bamboula 2000; Voices of Pride from Edna Karr High School; and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Planning Commission.
